The Position
Ambulance Victoria (AV) is building the foundations needed to create a safe, fair and inclusive workplace.
Reporting to the Executive Director Equality & Workplace Reform, the Director will lead the strategic design, development and delivery of AV’s collaborative and integrated, organisational reform package, including directing the management of state-wide efforts to enable and embed workplace change and reset the organisation’s values for enduring cultural change. The incumbent will lead this high priority and large-scale strategic work. This will require deep expertise in change management and strong stakeholder engagement. The Director of Workplace Reform will support the organisation on a journey of sustainable and transformative change that underpins a holistic approach to the prevention of, and effective responses to, unlawful and harmful workplace conduct.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional, contemporary leader, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, to bring together a state-wide organisation and a diverse, complex range of stakeholders. Deep understanding of the effective approaches required in the implementation of reform of a sensitive nature, including trauma informed and victim centred approaches will be highly desirable. With significant expertise in project, change management and co-design, the Director will have previously led highly complex and sensitive programs of work and reform. Significant working knowledge of equality, diversity and human rights, to advance transformation of culture and well-established connection and the understanding of diverse community will support success in this role. Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to prepare high quality reports and presentations to a range of stakeholders, will also be highly regarded.
