The Position
Reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with colleagues in the broader health system, the Executive Director will lead the finance and performance functions within the service. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure that Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) can optimise its resources to deliver high quality, highly performing and efficient care for its communities.
CALHN is partnering with Korda Mentha to ensure the organisation achieves financial sustainability. A quality-assured financial recovery plan has been developed and will be implemented over the next three years through effective leadership and change management.
The successful candidate will be a CPA/ICA qualified executive with prior experience in providing positive leadership in a large complex organisation in a climate of reform and continuing change. With demonstrated success in increasing the effectiveness and accountability of the organisation, the appointee will possess strategic and operational expertise.
Knowledge of and experience in either a government or health service delivery environment with a clinical activity, costing and performance management focus, would be highly desirable.
The Organisation
CALHN is one of five Local Health Networks (LHNs) in South Australia. It is one of three metropolitan LHNs with a core population of approximately 390,000 people. CALHN is responsible for numerous hospitals, community mental health and primary health services providing services to patients from rural and remote areas, the Northern Territory, NSW (Broken Hill) and western parts of Victoria.
