The Position
Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health) is currently seeking to appoint a senior executive to the position of Executive Director Organisational Development & People to lead the delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational human resource and organisational development solutions aligned to strategic business plans.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position will be a key member of the GV Health Executive Leadership Team.  Responsibility will focus on providing strong support to enable GV Health’s transformation in culture, behaviours and people engagement in addition to supporting the workforce growth demands for significant service expansion.  The Executive Director will prioritise a best practice, contemporary and fit for purpose organisational development strategy which will be aimed at increasing leadership capability and capacity, providing an agile talent management and succession planning framework, and embedding robust change management practices.  The Executive Director will continue to provide a sound HR and IR platform across the organisation, including the provision of relevant advice.
With proven experience in effectively leading human resource management functions and the design and implementation of organisational development solutions, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong prior experience and demonstrating high levels of credibility.  Critical to success will be the ability to build capability in the Executive and deliver on transformational change.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, combined with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships, are vital.  While experience in the health service delivery environment will be advantageous, strong organisational development experience gained in other highly complex environments will be well regarded.  Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are essential.
The Organisation
Goulburn Valley (GV) Health is a Regional Public Health Service in the Hume Region of Victoria, with campuses located at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth.  The main campus in Shepparton is the major acute referral hospital for the sub-region.  Additional sites are also located in Shepparton, Seymour, Benalla, Cobram, Echuca and Wodonga.
GV Health provides a range of acute, subacute, mental health, aged, primary health and community services across the Goulburn Sub-Region within the Hume Region.
