The Position

Ambulance Victoria is seeking to appoint an Executive Director, People & Culture to lead the strategic direction of the portfolio, supporting the organisation at a period of significant cultural transformation and reform.  As an expert counsel to the CEO and the AV Board, the ED, P&C will oversee a large remit that includes Human Resources, Health and Safety, Wellbeing, Employee Relations, Community Education and Engagement, and Organisational Transformation and Development functions.

The successful incumbent will be an experienced, strategic executive who is inspirational, inclusive, collaborative and driven.  The scope for impact in this role is significant and will require a leader who is passionate about leading and delivering reform for a dedicated workforce in a highly dynamic and complex environment. The successful candidate will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated experience working at a strategic level within an organisation during significant change. Highly developed influencing, problem solving and strategic decision making will be key to the success of this role. Broad executive general management experience within People and Culture in the public sector will be highly regarded.
