The Position

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking to appoint an experienced and contemporary leader to the position of Executive Director People and Culture. Our people are at the heart of the organisation and this critical role will provide human resource leadership and management to drive positive reform across the organisation.

This position is an opportunity for an energetic and driven individual to take a lead role in transforming the culture within CFA and deliver best practice HR services to support the development of a robust and responsive organisation. Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the Chief Officer, the Executive Director will play a lead role in the implementation of systems that drive organisational improvements which embrace a people orientated philosophy.

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of success in complex organisations. You will demonstrate strong capacity to think both strategically and tactically and will be skilled in engaging a diverse workforce to ensure cultural change. Your style will be collaborative and be complemented by the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have experience in leading and building successful teams and achieving outcomes through people at all levels. Tertiary qualifications in a elated discipline are required.
