The Position
Beaconhills College seeks to appoint an exceptional and inspirational leader and educator to the position of Executive Principal, following Mr Tony Sheumack’s 24 years of outstanding and distinguished service to the College.
Reporting to the Board, the Executive Principal leads a diverse, multicampus community, continuing to build on the College’s reputation of affordable education, exceptional opportunities and sustainable practices. The Executive Principal will actively support, encourage and guide the executive team and other College leaders to develop and fulfill their roles in the ongoing development of the College. The College has strong community foundations, and the Executive Principal will provide the cornerstone for a sustained sense of College community and shared vision of success for all students.
The ideal candidate will be a contemporary educational leader who presents with a personal style that is engaging, dynamic and at the same time sensitive to the history of the College. With demonstrable experience in leading and executing a vision and strategy in a complex educational environment, the appointee will possess well-developed strategic leadership skills and the ability to manage productive change. The ability to foster a positive culture along with an open and collaborative leadership style will be essential to sustaining the College’s commitment to future learning. The appointee will be a person of Christian faith who shares and supports the Christian values of the school.
The Organisation
Beaconhills College was established in 1982 in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. It is an independent, open-entry, co-educational school founded on Christian values. The College has two campuses in Berwick and Pakenham with around 3000 students and 500 staff.
The Pakenham and Berwick campuses offer outstanding programs to students from Early Years to Year 12, including international students, with residential boarding at Pakenham.
