  • Opportunity to be a pivotal contributor to this exciting and bold transformational change journey
  • Be part of a committed team bringing bravery, energy and deep commitment to a values and purpose-driven organisation

Who we are:
Haven Home Safe is a homelessness organisation specialising in housing solutions. We are a socially-impactful, commercially-operated NFP. This means we have deep empathy for the communities we are embedded in, always focussed on the people who need us most. The people who urgently need to be safe. The family that needs to focus on healing to move forward. The individual who is without a safety net.

Our journey:
Haven Home Safe is transforming with a drive to become a trusted partner of choice because we know that the status quo is the least safe option for the people who need us most. We embrace this change to create the most meaningful impact with new alliances, partnerships and innovative pathways to scale as a regional advocate, a creative thinker delivering on our promise and evolving as we discover new horizons and new challenges as they arise. And the time is now for us to face these challenges with a renewed outlook.

Our vision:
We want to be trusted to partner with individuals, communities, businesses and government with the belief that we will ensure everyone in Victoria has a place to call home. Our vision is to create a world where the housing crisis and homelessness are not realities of our time.  Putting our customers at the heart of everything we do, we focus on excellence and bring the people, resources and infrastructure needed to enable us to step into the future we believe is possible.  We are accountable, responsible and act with integrity, and we innovate, challenge and learn.

Who we need:
As we enter an exciting, challenging and evolving environment, we seek an experienced and agile Finance Manager to lead the finance team, oversee payroll, manage internal controls and quality systems, monitor statutory requirements, contribute to strategy and planning, maintain accounting standards and contribute to the preparation of business plans and operating budgets.  Working collaboratively and in partnership with the Executive Team and their managers, you have the opportunity to truly leave a significant legacy through the development and enhancement of modern financial operating systems and digital self-service. Partnering with the broader organisation, you will provide financial hindsight, oversight, and wisdom.

Why we need you:
As a highly experienced strategic financial administrator and qualified CPA or Chartered Accountant, you will have broad experience in leading the delivery of best practice financial management, payroll administration and accounting services.  Your advanced computer literacy skills and knowledge of integrated enterprise financial management and spreadsheet applications will enable you to be a  critical contributor to the transformational change agenda at HHS.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the finance team and engage as a trusted advisor across the organisation.  You will be familiar with accounting issues related to the not-for-profit sector and attuned to risk identification and mitigation and able to liaise and advise at a senior level on financial matters.  With a deep commitment to the organisation’s mission and values, you will derive deep satisfaction from working in an organisation making a meaningful difference to people who need it most.

Where you will be:
You will be located in Bendigo or Melbourne with regular travel to all HHS offices.
