The Position
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV), seeks to appoint a talented, driven and forward-thinking General Manager, Finance to play a key role in driving corporate strategy and operations. This is an opportunity to build on GRV’s exciting and thriving future.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and interfacing at Board level as required, the General Manager Finance will manage and report on GRV’s financials and oversee its constituent Clubs. The Finance team have accountability for all financial reporting and budgets, financial risk and governance, procurement as well as financial operations and systems. The GM Finance is an integral member of the GRV leadership team and has accountability for the delivery of a key strategic initiative relating to the replacement of GRV’s finance and procurement systems. Although this project is in flight and is expected to be delivered during 2020, there is an opportunity to influence to design GRV’s core financial capabilities policies and procedures.
With a desire to think differently about how we do things, you will have strong commercial acumen and proven financial leadership experience. Highly developed strategic and analytical skills, a performance mindset, and an influential and engaging manner are key to success in the role.
