The Position
Malek Fahd Islamic School (MFIS) seeks to appoint an exceptional and inspirational leader to the position of Principal.  MFIS is one of the largest schools of the Muslim faith in Australia providing education to a multi-cultural community.  The Principal will serve as both the Chief Executive and the educational leader of this multi-campus community.  With MFIS focussed on ensuring every student is able to achieve their ‘personal best’ in a wide range of areas the Principal will ensure the delivery of programs that are inclusive at every level.
With a guiding spirit of collaboration, the Principal will lead the school as an effective educational institution where education and learning are valued, educational ideas and developments are professionally appraised, and a climate of innovation and change is embraced.  The Principal will guide and support the school’s senior management team to ensure the development and delivery of high-quality curriculum and assessment programs and activities that cater for the needs of all students.  Key areas of focus for the new Principal will include maintaining high academic standards, supporting community commitment, delivering excellence in pastoral care and attracting a broader student cohort.
The ideal candidate for the Principal position will be a contemporary resilient leader who is aligned to and promotes the Islamic ethos of the school, and is able to bring the school community together, both internally and externally.  The incoming Principal will strongly believe in the school’s vision and will work collaboratively with the Board, staff and the community to continue growing the school and taking it to the next level.  With an inspirational and motivational leadership style, the appointee will possess well developed strategic management skills and the ability to manage productive change.  The ability to foster a positive culture will be essential to sustaining the School’s commitment to future growth and learning.  The appointee will demonstrate experience gained in an executive position ideally from the education sector or from a suitably aligned people orientated sector with complex operations.
The Organisation
Malek Fahd Islamic School (MFIS) is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational independent school in NSW, with approximately 3,000 students and 300 staff across its three campuses located at Greenacre, Beaumont Hills and Hoxton Park.
MFIS aims to develop each child intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, religiously, morally, aesthetically and vocationally in an Islamic environment so that the children are happy and successful citizens of Australia.
