The Position
The newly created role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) will provide university-wide direction in the areas of international strategy and leadership of USQ’s International Department. The Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) will also lead the development of the University’s international brand and profile to align with the priorities and strategic goals of the University while overseeing the growth and diversity of USQ’s international student population.
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and a member of the University’s executive leadership team, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) will provide high level advice on international regulatory matters, projects and proposals across all domains of University activity. They will lead the development of the University’s international strategies and plans, identifying and leveraging opportunities to grow relationships, partnerships, mobility initiatives and research capacity in international markets.
To be successful in this role, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) will need to have an extensive history of involvement in international education at an executive level, experience in providing academic leadership, development and implementation of internationalisation strategies and an exceptional track record in brokering strategic agreements. The ideal candidate will display the ability to establish high level credibility, communicate a compelling strategic direction and will need to show evidence of leading diverse teams.’
