Marion Cape is the new Director of Marketing and Communications at Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar.

Marion is able to demonstrate an extensive career in the schools’ sector, encompassing community engagement, admissions, marketing, alumni, communication, event management and PR. Marion was the Director of Admissions and Marketing with Tintern Grammar.  This role was a member of the Executive Team and Marion contributed to the creation and implementation of strategic directions for the school.  Marion worked to lift Tintern’s visibility in the local area and beyond to become a real competitor.  Key achievements during this time including managing a rebrand, including a new website, online facilities to promote the school, creation of Parent Group Branding to align with the School brand and driving a PR campaign that led to segments on various TV program and articles in the press.  During the celebration of Tintern’s 140th year in 2017 Marion and her team created a number of celebrations and promotions including Avenue of Excellence and celebration dinner, reunions, merchandise and social medial campaign.

Previously Marion held the position of Registrar with Caulfield Grammar School at the Wheelers Hill Campus, encompassing students from pre-prep to Year 12. Here Marion focussed on increasing enrolments while also retaining existing students.  During this period both enrolments and retention showed upward trends.

Marion has an understanding of girls’ education from beginning her career in education with Lauriston, as Executive Assistant to the Principal.
