Mr Sean Curtain is the successful candidate for the Executive Director People & Culture role with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

Sean demonstrates an HR career gained in a variety of organisations across a range of sectors, including his most recent experience within the health sector. Since 2015 Sean has held the position of Director HR Services and Staff Welfare with Alfred Health. With a team of 32 the scope of Sean’s position encompasses the development of HR strategy and operational services within HR, ER, systems, recruitment and OH&S.

Prior to joining Alfred Health, Sean held the position of General Manager Human Resources with University of Melbourne Commercial (UoMC) where he was responsible for operational and strategic HR, performance management, remuneration reviews, Employee Relations, attraction and retention and organisational development.

Earlier Sean was engaged with AIA Australia, a major life insurer in Australia, as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Managing all HR strategy and operations for Australia and New Zealand, Sean was part of the Australian EXCO reporting to the CEO with a matrix reporting relationship to Hong Kong.
