The Position
The prominent mental health and suicide prevention organisation, Beyond Blue, seeks to appoint a Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) to lead the successful delivery of a major change program over the next 18 months. The change program will set the organisation up to optimally deliver on the it’s new strategic plan, Beyond2020. The CTO will lead and champion the implementation of a new Beyond Blue operating model which includes changes to organising structures, governance, processes and systems, culture, metrics, data and technology, which will help Beyond Blue to be even stronger for the community for years to come.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of a redesigned executive team, the CTO will orchestrate a complex program of work that involves large numbers of discrete but interconnected initiatives. As the face of this bold transformation, the CTO will inspire staff to remain focussed and committed to all elements of the program. In addition to leading the implementation of agile processes, systems and environments, a key element of the role will be to foster a values-based culture that embeds community-centricity into Beyond Blue’s day-today operations.
The successful candidate will be recognised as a change agent who has a history of successfully delivering whole of organisation transformation outcomes within complex, customer-oriented environments. Equipped with robust executive and adaptive leadership skills, the appointee will have exemplary influencing and negotiating skills coupled with extensive knowledge of and experience in the design and implementation of innovative, enterprise-level strategies, best practice integrated planning and transformation methodologies. Experience in digital transformation will be highly regarded. A tertiary qualification in management, health, social sciences or a related discipline is required.
