The Position
Mallee Family Care is currently seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative, senior leader to expand upon wide ranging human service delivery programs in across Northern Victoria. The General Manager Community and Wellbeing Services oversees the delivery of business plans in line with strategic operational goals specific to the social challenges faced by clients within the geographic area they serve.
Reporting to the Director Client Services, and as a member of the management team, the General Manager will maintain strategic and operational oversight and leadership over the Community and Wellbeing program areas. The position provides direct line management of relevant Service Managers and oversight of the program’s workforce, strengthening communities through needs analysis, continuous improvement activities and developing and promoting new initiatives.
The successful candidate will be experienced in leading growth and change in complex environments. A track record of delivering against robust quality frameworks, fostering innovation and new initiatives, whilst successfully managing operational risk associated with human service delivery will be a key determinant of this role. There will be a requirement for exemplary leadership and stakeholder relationship management skills to ensure success in this position.
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or equivalent are mandatory. Post graduate qualifications in Business Management will be highly regarded. Relocation support will be considered, and candidates may be eligible for rural and remote living allowance, as well as salary packaging entitlements.
